I give this table the bill. They call me over and ask me why they paid tax in the bar then had to pay tax in the dining room and then underneath have to pay another tax.
You see the bar bill that was transfered to the dining room had a $2 and change tax. Then the dining room total had a $10 and change tax. Well when you added them up it came to just over $13 in the total tax underneath.
But this lady thought as well as the rest of the table that they were charged an additional tax of $13 for no reason. She thought it was a total rip-off.
So I had to explain to her that the $13 was just a total of the bar tax when they ordered stuff in the bar and the tax on what they had in the dining room.
Do you think she understood that? You would think by now someone smarter would have figured out if we were crooks or not.
This lady was a birdbrain. I mean has she never looked at a bill before?
